Honor Planet Earth this week by learning how you can help free our landscape of invasive plants. Led by Cassandra Moise, Education and Outreach Manager of the L.I. Invasive Species Management Area, along with members of the Peconic Land Trust’s stewardship team, you’ll learn how to identify invasive plants and best practices for their removal. Bring work gloves and a shovel or loppers, if you have them, other hand tools along with refreshments will be provided. Tick protection strongly recommended.
Free! Reservations are required to ensure adequate equipment. Rain cancels.
Appropriate for ages 15 and over.
Direction Info: Broad Cove is located on Overlook Drive in Riverhead. For GPS directions, put in Lighthouse Deli and Catering located at 363 Meeting House Creek Rd in Aquebogue; this address will take you to the start of the driveway for the Broad Cove parking lot.
