Farmers have been cultivating the rich soils and farming our waterways for centuries, but the industry has evolved over the years with the impact of development and other factors. Join us for a short historic overview provided by Southampton Town Historian Julie Greene followed by a moderated panel discussion with generational farmers Richie King of North Sea Farms and John L. Halsey from Milk Pail Farm, as well as Peconic Land Trust’s Founder and President, John v. H. Halsey. Refreshments will be provided. Program in partnership with the North Sea Maritime Center.
