If luscious strawberries make you swoon, you should visit Condzella Farm’s strawberry patch in Wading River! As part of our June Connections programming, we went behind the scenes for a tour with farm owner John Condzella who shared his family’s long history as multi-generational farmers. With the Trust’s assistance, they conserved a portion of their farmland in 2024 which raised needed funds to purchase adjacent farmland and bring it back into the family’s farm holdings. We learned about the varieties of strawberries they’re growing on 3 acres of the farm, including Flavorfest, Earliglow, Wendy, and Sparkle, and then enjoyed picking and tasting these incredibly delicious berries right off the vines. This hardworking family is truly dedicated to growing the best strawberries – and vegetables, fruits, flowers, and even hops – for your enjoyment.
