New York Marine Rescue Center Honors John v.H. Halsey

We thank the New York Marine Rescue Center (NYMRC) for honoring John v.H. Halsey, President of the Peconic Land Trust at their Annual Oceans of Hope Gala Fundraiser earlier this month. On choosing John for this honor the board of NYMRC said, "John established and grew the Peconic Land Trust to become the pre-eminent land preservation, education, and conservation organization on Long Island. His goals and accomplishments have fostered significant increases in marine and terrestrial wildlife populations through the preservation of habitats and improving water quality in our bays, wetlands, and ocean environments. All of Long Island has benefited from his advocacy for, and dedication to, the Peconic Land Trust’s mission, and the NYMRC is grateful for his dedication and service."
