Learn Who is Leasing Farmland with the Peconic Land Trust in 2026
July 10, 2026
By Dan Heston
Through our Farms for the Future Initiative we seek to not only protect farmland, but also support farmers working the land. In 2026 we are leasing 431 acres, operated by over 54 farmers -- with 43 distinct leases, 11 with incubator farmers and 32 with established farmers.
These new and returning farmers are growing everything from vegetables and flowers to bees for honey and oysters, snails, and cattle. See the full list of farms below and look for their products at local markets.
