- September 26, 2012: Suffolk County Press Release:County Executive Bellone Says Suffolk Will Develop First New Farmland Protection Plan Since 1996. The effort will be funded by a $50,000 grant from New York State, as well as a $10,000 grant to the Peconic Land Trust from the Long Island Community Foundation to assist the County.
