- December 18, 2012: Peconic Land Trust Announces Donation by ExxonMobil Corporation of Waterfront Property in Greenport. The Town of Southold will Hold a Conservation Easement on the Property; the Village of Greenport will also be a Party to the Easement.
- November 27, 2012: Sylvester Manor Educational Farm and the Peconic Land Trust Announce the Preservation of an Additional 57.1 Acres on Shelter Island.
- September 28, 2012: "Growing Farmers" New Documentary Chronicling the Peconic Land Trust's Work with Farmers on Long Island Gets Festival Premier at the Hamptons International Film Festival on Sunday, October 7.
- September 26, 2012: Suffolk County Press Release:County Executive Bellone Says Suffolk Will Develop First New Farmland Protection Plan Since 1996. The effort will be funded by a $50,000 grant from New York State, as well as a $10,000 grant to the Peconic Land Trust from the Long Island Community Foundation to assist the County.
