Through Farms and Fields has become a signature event for the Peconic Land Trust -- a unique Sunday Luncheon held within spectacular settings on the East End. This year will be no exception, as we will once again be hosted by the Salm Family at The Port of Missing Men.
Tickets on sale now by calling 631.283.3195.
In 2012, over 350 guests joined us at Whitecap Farm in Water Mill, the home farm of the popular Milk Pail farm stand owned by John L. and Evelyn Halsey and their daughters Amy and Jennifer.
For 2013, we are again hosted by the Wiltraud, the Countess von Salm-Hoogstraeten, her son Ludwig (Ludi), and daughter Antonia, on the grounds of what was once the largest private estate on Long Island, the spectacular Port of Missing Men in North Sea. Its original nearly 2,000 acres was assembled in the 1920s by Colonel Henry H. Rogers, and was named to honor both the sailors who drowned in an 1893 Peconic Bay shipwreck, as well as the reason for the all-comforts shooting preserve that it became.
Stay tuned for updates on this year's event, which will be on Sunday, August 4. We are pleased to announce that Tate’s Bake Shop, The Corcoran Group, Brown Harris Stevens, Bridgehampton National Bank, Artisan Mortgage Company, Herrick Hardware, Perry Guillot Inc., PitchBlue Group, Mosquito Squad of Eastern Suffolk, Edible East End have already signed on as sponsors for the 2013 Through Farms and Fields.
