Shelter Island Garden Party – July 19, 2008
A new event for the Peconic Land Trust in 2006, the Shelter Island Garden Party is a wonderful opportunity to explore the island between the forks. Hosted by the Peconic Land Trust’s Shelter Island Advisory Committee, chaired by Edie Landeck, MD, the event is a perfect summer evening affair.
Details for the 2008 party will be announced shortly.
The 2006 party, hosted by Erin and Sean McLean at the Shelter Island Gardens, included a silent auction of hand-painted birdhouses by the some of the Island’s residents and celebrities, including: Peter Boody, Joanne Picoso, Mike Laspia, Sawyer Clark, Randy Silvani, Olive Reish, Pastor Bill, Karen Boltex, Ester Hunt, and Hat Bowdish. A tradition that will continue with the 2008 celebration.
