What's New: Bridge Gardens is currently closed and will re-open for the 2012 Season on April 7. 

Our 2011 season featured a full program  for the Spring, Summer and Fall, including the return of Fridays at Six music in July and August, and Uncommon Ground II sculpture exhibition which opened in June. Thank you to all the members, sponsors, musicians, artists, and visitors for making this a wonderful season. Hope to see you again in 2012. Bridge Gardens is located at 36 Mitchell Lane, Bridgehampton, NY. This unique public garden in the heart of Bridgehampton, NY, Bridge Gardens was donated to the Peconic Land Trust in the fall of 2008 by founders and gardeners Jim Kilpatric and Harry Neyens. Kilpatric and Neyens began designing and installing the gardens in 1988, and over the ensuing 20 years created a wonderful oasis that covers five acres and includes many specimens of trees, hedgerow, flowers and herbs. Bridge Gardens is now a stewardship project of the Peconic Land Trust, managed by Rick Bogusch.

Bridge Gardens consists of two distinct garden districts: The Inner Garden and the Outer Garden.

The Inner Garden

Developed first, the Inner Garden features a large, meticulously-trimmed Spanish-styled knot garden surrounded by beds of culinary, medicinal, ornamental, and textile and dyeing herbs. Overlooking these plantings is the Garden House, which is the Gardener's Residence and Educational Center.

The Outer Garden

Beyond a hedge of European Beech is a favorite attraction of the Gardens, and the major attraction of the Outer Garden, a collection of 800 antique and modern roses. These include a rose rondel of hybrid teas, grandifloras, and floribundas, as well as a rose walk through beds of species, antique and climbing roses.
